The Eager Beaver was used primarily by the Army. The majority were open cabbed.

There was an armoured version that was used for bomb disposal in Northern Ireland, operated either by a driver in an enclosed armoured cab, or remotely driven by wire.

A limited number were built with enclosed Arctic heated cabs for service in Norway. (some arctic cab version going to the Falklands War.)

Eight Eager Beavers, a mix of open cabbed and Arctic cabbed, were famously used by the Commando Logistics Regiment to supply both 3 Commando and 5 Infantry Brigade throughout the Falklands War.

The Eager Beaver saw logistical use in UK and also in support of BAOR.

A limited number were built with enclosed heated cabs for service in Norway. (some arctic cab version going to the Falklands conflict.)

They were used by the RAF in support or Hercules operations, and also as an Aircraft Tractor, for the Harrier Jump Jet in Germany.

The Royal Navy also used the type.

Most had left Military service by the early 1990s.
